BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Ontario Government be requested to undertake, through the appropriate department, a study of the placement needs of children who have come before the judges of the Juvenile Courts in the Province of Ontario in 1957 and 1958
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the necessary legislation be enacted to provide for the establishment of temporary custody and maintenance in all cases where children are placed in homes other than their own and for which there is no provision as now exists in jurisdictions served by municipal courts.
MOVED by J. Quarrie (Galt), Seconded by B. McDonald (N. Toronto) that the resolution be referred to an Ad Hoc Committee for study to determine its suitability for BPW Action.
