THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Business and Professional Women’s Clubs of Ontario urge the Government of Ontario to:
a) increase funding for both new and existing emergency shelters for battered women and their children;
b) designate funding for second stage housing; and
c) increase the availability of subsidized housing to women and their children leaving such shelters.
